Background information:
Coastal Access is expected to be delivered along the Saltburn to Filey length by the end of 2015. Work has already taken place over the last few years to identify the best line for the coastal trail. Once the Cleveland Way becomes part of the England Coast Path there will be opportunities to improve signing, react quicker to erosion problems through automatic rollback and to improve the identity of the Trail on the urban sections, especially in Whitby and Scarborough.
